ADOT Releases 2015 Auto Accident Statistics, and Arizona is still a dangerous place to drive. You can read the detailed report by here. In total there were 116,609 auto related accidents in 2015. Of those accidents 45% involved injuries, while less than 1% (895) involved fatalities. Speed was the the most common factor in most injury collisions at just over 30,000.00. The most common type of accidents were rear end collisions. Alcohol related accidents accounted for approximately 3,500 of those accidents. The report also contains other information regarding peak times and the day with the most reported accidents. January 30, 2015 (Friday of Super Bowl weekend) had the most accidents in one day at 635, while the peak time for accidents was 4 to 5 in the afternoon/evening.
