Why You Should Carry Uninsured Motorist Coverage?

There is one primary reason why you should carry uninsured motorist coverage.  One of the most frustrating experiences a person can have is getting in a car accident, particularly when it was the other driver’s fault.  What is even more frustrating is if the other driver does not have insurance.  If you do not carry uninsured motorist you could be left without any ability to seek compensation for your medical bills, loss wages, loss of enjoyment of life and pain and suffering.  The reality is that if you are involved in an accident with an uninsured motorist, the chances are that person probably does not have the financial ability to compensate you for your loss.  This is the primary reason you should carry uninsured motorist coverage, it is an additional coverage available provided by your insurance company, which would take the place of the other party’s would be liability coverage.

You should also know that under Arizona Law , at the time you purchase your policy, your insurance company has to provide you written notice of the availability of uninsured motorist coverage.  If you do not have the uninsured motorist coverage, you should contact your insurance company, if you do not have the coverage and do not recall your insurance providing you the written notice, request a copy of the signed acknowledgment.

This is the main reason why you should carry uninsured motorist coverage.
