Mother of A Deceased Teen Sues FedEx Corp For Wrongful Death

Earlier this month ten people died in a car accident in Northern California.  The accident occurred on I-5 about 90 miles north of Sacramento.  The accident occurred when a FedEx tractor-trailer crossed over a median and collided with a bus carrying high school students on their way to visit a college campus.  The mother of the deceased teen has filed suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging that the driver was at fault and that FedEx was responsible because it knew it had a history of vehicle fires.  Some witnesses recall that the tractor-trailer was no fire prior to the collision.  Although according to Reuters, the investigation found no evidence of a pre-collision fire. Our hearts and prays go out to those who lost their lives in this fire including the driver of the FedEx truck and then 17 year old high school student.  No amount of money could ever compensate a parent for the loss of their child.
