Senate Bill to Allow Corporate Publications via Corporation Commission Website

A new bill proposed by the 2011 State Senate would eliminate the current requirements that certain filings with the Arizona Corporation Commission be published in local papers of general circulation.  Instead, publication may be attained simply by the Arizona Corporation Commission posting the information on its website.  Here is the text of the bill.  This would reduce the costs and time required to complete the requirements for a new corporation or limitied liability company, or for amendments to either.   The downside for the community will be that several papers dependent upon such advertising revenue will lose significant business.
