SCOTUS To Address Class Action Certification Requirements

This term, SCOTUS will be addressing several cases dealing with certification requirements of class action lawsuits.  The first will be Amgen Inc., v. Connecticut Retirement & Trust Funds,  in which the Court will address the level of proof needed to certify classes in securities cases.  In Standard Fire Ins., v Knowles the Court will address if a Plaintiff can prevent the Defendants from removing from State to Federal Court alleging less than $ 5 million is in controversy.
