Mail Carrier Files Lawsuit Over Dog Bite
In Oregon a mail carrier files lawsuit over a dog bite. The postal worker is seeking damages of $180,000.00 for serious facial injuries. According to the website Claims Journal, postal worker Kristin Joachim filed a lawsuit in Lane County Oregon resulting from a dog bite. Apparently the owner lost control of the dog and the dog attacked Mrs. Jochim. According to the post office, more than 5,000 letter carriers each year report that dogs attack them.
In Arizona, dog bite victims are entitled to recover damages from the dog owner, absent certain facts, the dog owner is automatically responsible for the injuries his/her dog causes.
