Lawsuit Seeks Damages Against Sprint For Uploading Intimate Customer Photos.

Everyone has upgraded a phone before, what most people forget to do before hand is to format their phone, deleting all personal information including photos.  Unfortunately a woman in LA forgot to do this, her traded in phone included about 5,000 photos, some of which were intimate in nature. In this instance an employee of Sprint not only looked at the photos,but also uploaded the pictures to the woman’s facebook page.  Remember she did not delete her phone, so her Facebook login information remained on her phone.

You can read more about the lawsuit here.  While consumers should expect that a store employee will not access and disseminate information on customer’s phones.  It is always a good idea to format or remove any personal information from ANY electronic device you may be trading in or even recycling.
