Arizona Legislature Kills Text While Driving Ban

While Arizona’s legislature passes legislation creating an unofficial holiday, Cowboy Day, it refuses to even hear debate on a bill that would ban texting while driving.  Although everyone admits that texting and driving is dangerous, everyone at some point has done it; however, it is a distraction and poses a significant danger to other drivers.  There is a bill pending which would ban texting for drivers under the age of 18.  Additionally, the cities of Phoenix and Tucson have ordinances banning texting while driving.
